Groundwork Richmond

  • About Us

The Groundwork Richmond (GWR) Trust is an exciting new non-profit organization dedicated to improving Richmond’s outdoor environment through community improvement projects. GWR’s current works involves neighborhood tree-planting projects and stewardship and development of the Richmond Greenway – a former rail line becoming a walking and biking trail and community park. Our priorities are to engage youth and residents, improve urban forestry and creeks, and implement programs for brownfield remediation. We have strong partners in the City of Richmond, Rosie the Riveter National Homefront Park, and other community non-profits.
