    The Experimental Aircraft Association is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to promotion of access to flight, protection of the right to fly, preservation of aviation heritage and preparation of aviation's future through education.

    Founded in 1953 to encourage individual craftsmen with aircraft projects, EAA today serves members in every aspect of aviation, as well as other walks of life. Its fourfold mission is carried out through programs and activites which include the largest aviation event in the world; 1000 active EAA chapters; a world class, accredited museum and youth outreach programs which touch hundreds of individuals each day.
