  • About Us

Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid (HIJRA) is a growing humanitarian organization which aims to positively contribute towards improving the living standards and conditions of those adversely affected by disasters and conflict in the Horn of Africa.

Much of our work involves emergency intervention in south-central Somalia through short-term humanitarian relief projects. Together with our international partners, HIJRA has successfully implemented dozens of lifesaving projects which have included the construction of water storage and sanitation facilities, pit latrines, water and non-food item distribution, public health campaigns, cash relief activities, and the management/renovation of several Mother and Child clinics.

Our offices are based in Nairobi, Kenya and Mogadishu, Somalia.
