    In addition to collecting and preserving materials related to the history of the fire service in New York, the New York City Fire Museum is dedicated to public education. In a partnership with the Education unit of the Fire Department of New York, the museum presents programs on fire safety and burn prevention. Over 10,000 children learn about fire prevention at the museum each year.
