    The Charles Sherrod CDC was incorporated in 2015 to Forster hope and economic opportunity in Southwest Georgia by supporting agricultural entrepreneurship, reducing food insecurity, and reversing land loss in African-American families. Charles Sherrod CDC seeks to uplift the communities of Albany and Southwest Georgia by providing hands-on education and technical assistance to new, beginning, and socially disadvantaged producers at New Communities Cypress Pond farm and training center.
