About Us
Faith in Action is a interfaith faith-based, volunteer-based agency that matches trained volunteers with frail elders, persons with cancer and other chronic illnesses, persons with physical disabilities, and their family caregivers. These volunteers offer non-acute, non-medical support services, such as transportation to and from medical or social support services, household chores, meal preparation, grocery shopping, visitation and phone reassurance. Faith in Action also works with faith communities to develop health ministries and parish nurse programsthat provide health education and referrals within congregational settings. The agency also advocates for the underserved, especially as it relates to the health of the community.
