    About Us

The Carolyne E. Wylie Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the community by offering services that promote emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Our mission is to empower individuals and families through therapeutic, educational, and emotional support. Our vision is to create a stronger, more connected community where everyone has access to the resources they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. At the core of everything we do, we are guided by values of compassion, integrity, community service, and respect for everyone we serve.

    Who We Serve

We serve a diverse range of individuals, with a focus on:

    • Children and Families: We offer a variety of services for children experiencing emotional or academic difficulties, as well as support for parents and caregivers.
    • At-Risk Youth: We provide targeted services for young people who are at risk due to poverty, family dysfunction, or involvement with the juvenile justice system.
    • Low-Income and Underserved Communities: We ensure that people in economically disadvantaged areas have access to critical mental health services.
    • Individuals and Families Impacted by Trauma: We support individuals and families who have experienced trauma, including abuse, loss, or other life challenges, to help them heal and recover.

    Our Impact on the Community

The work we do has a significant impact on the community:

    • Emotional and Mental Well-Being: Through our counseling services, we help individuals and families cope with stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges, improving their overall mental health.
    • Stronger Families: By providing family counseling and educational resources, we help families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build stronger relationships.
    • Better Outcomes for Children: The children we work with often show improvements in academic performance, social behavior, and overall mental health.
    • Increased Mental Health Awareness: We play a vital role in educating the community about mental health, reducing stigma, and encouraging more people to seek the support they need.

    Our Community Partnerships

    We collaborate with:

    • Local schools to provide educational and emotional support to students.
    • Healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for the people we serve.
    • Other nonprofits to share resources and work together to improve the lives of those in need.
    • Government agencies, such as child protective services and public health organizations, to coordinate services for vulnerable populations.
