  • About Us

Physicians Against Red Meat (PhARM), a nonprofit established in 2016, help educate physicians and the public about the health and environmental risks associated with red meat. Numerous scientific studies have linked red meat to higher overall mortality, and higher rates of diseases such as heart disease, breast cancer, colon cancer, prostrate cancer, stroke, and diabetes. In addition, red meat is a major contributor to climate change and pollution of our land, water, and air. PhARM encourages the movement to a plant-based diet that is low in red meat. We do that through monthly newsletters to physicians and others and through our website, pharm.org.
