Journey 4-H Youth Mentoring

  • About Us

Journey 4-H matches young people in Ottawa County with caring adult volunteers who provide support and friendship. Mentors and youth ages 8-18 participate in mutually enjoyable activities with the goals of having fun and building a relationship. Each week, they spend time simply grabbing a cup of coffee, playing a board game, going for a walk, or learning a new hobby together. Mentoring is as simple as that! Youth participate in the program voluntarily are referred from local schools and other organizations. Mentors and "mentees" are asked to make a commitment to meet weekly for at least one year, though most mentoring relationships last much longer. No one should have to journey alone- be a mentor!
