About Us
Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive, affordable health care to underserved communities throughout Africa. Four times each year, teams of volunteers travel to the FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital in Ghana, West Africa, one of the most state of the art facilities of its kind. Volunteers provide much needed training and expertise to our local staff of over 140 and assist with multiple complex surgeries. To date, FOCOS has treated over 22,000 patients and has performed more than 1,000 complex spine and joint surgeries. For more information, please visit www.orthofocos.org.
