Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine

  • About Us

The Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM) is a global, non-profit organization formed in 2011 to end the harm caused by diagnostic error by ensuring that diagnoses are timely, accurate, efficient, and safe. As the only organization focused solely on diagnostic error, SIDM is a leading force in increasing awareness and catalyzing action on this crucial problem and its potential solutions. To do so, SIDM collaborates and works alongside clinicians and other healthcare professionals, patients and families, employers, consumer advocates, researchers, insurers, policymakers, and educators.
