  • About Us

Organization Peasants of Lavache is a grassroots organization striving to improve the lives of rural Haitians. OPL was founded in 2009 by a group of young Haitians who share a vision for empowering Haitians throughout rural villages. The group has worked closely with their neighboring citizens to identify problems and energize peasants to promote their participation. Projects include creating basic infrastructure and establishing opportunities that facilitate the training of children and youth, improving the communication between different communities and reaching the outside world, gaining access to water, health care, and training peasants on modern agricultural technology.
