  • About Us

Project 351, a nonprofit organization, is a youth-led movement for social change and the only model of its kind in the nation. Annually, we convene an Ambassador Class of eighth grade unsung heroes representing Massachusetts’ 351 cities and towns for a transformative year of service learning and leadership development. Project 351 invests at a critical stage in youth development -- affirming our eighth graders’ innate goodness and empathy, celebrating diversity and inclusion, and developing their courage and skills to lead bold change.

Since 2011, 4,123 eighth graders have embraced the responsibility to serve as Project 351 Ambassadors. Together, they’ve positively impacted more than one million neighbors, strengthened the ethic of youth service, and united the Commonwealth through shared values and common cause.

Our organizational culture is built upon gratitude, inclusion, collaboration, and excellence. These tenets inform every aspect of our strategy, communication, and engagement with our young leaders. We strive to build an inclusive organizational culture that reflects these principles and models Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of the Beloved Community.
