Every cultural, educational, and nonprofit institution or organization has an urgent, growing need for financial support from the private sector. There's never been a greater need for highly skilled people to master the profession of fundraising. At the same time, foundations and other grantmaking organizations are becoming more focused and sophisticated in their grantmaking. The need for trained professionals and for informed and knowledgeable philanthropists has never been greater.

    The NYU Heyman Center is the nation's preeminent educational resource for leaders in the philanthropic professions. The Center offers educational opportunities to meet the learning needs and goals of any motivated student: --new M.S. in Fundraising and Grantmaking --professional development/certificate courses --customized courses for boards and/or staff members of nonprofits --the first online course on the law and ethics of fundraising, one of the most important nonprofit topics today --Academy for Grantmaking and Funder Education

    The outstanding faculty encompasses leaders in the fundraising and grantmaking professions and internationally recognized academics. Together with our advisory board of distinguished fundraisers, foundation leaders, and private philanthropists, they lead students in exploring the dynamics and strategies of fundraising and philanthropy through intelligent dialogue and debate.
