  • About Us

The Red Hook Community Justice Center, a program of the Center for Court Innovation and the Fund for the City of New York, is the nation’s first multi-jurisdictional community court, hearing criminal, civil and family matters under one roof, with a single judge. Red Hook’s mission is to solve community problems: strengthening families, counseling troubled youth, preserving the housing stock, preventing evictions, addressing crime when it occurs and working to prevent crime before it takes place. Criminal offenders are sentenced to community restitution and linked to a full range of onsite social services, including drug treatment and mental health counseling.
