  • About Us

American Bird Conservancy (ABC) is a small 501(c)3 dedicated to the protection of wild birds and their habitats throughout the Americas. We work through partnerships and networks to address the full range of threats to birds, including habitat loss, pesticide poisoning, predation by alien species, fishing practices that endanger shore and seabirds, and more. By working through networks, we can bring the best science and most effective resources together to address specific conservation problems one by one. We produce a quarterly magazine - "Bird Conservation" and a newsletter - "Bird Calls" - to educate the public about the best work being done in bird conservation today.
