About Us
Founded in 1999, The Giving Spirit’s mission is twofold. First, to provide immediate, tangible aid to homeless lives in Greater Los Angeles by procuring for, assembling together, and directly serving them with “survival kits” containing dozens of essential life-sustaining items while delivering hope and acknowledgement. Secondly, we inform, engage and educate individuals, businesses and communities through various platforms about the human face of homelessness, the myths and realities surrounding the unhoused, and how workable solutions to alleviate and ultimately end homelessness arise from direct community engagement, powerful data, and our common humanity.
