  • About Us

Founded in 1990, for over a quarter of a century the New York Bicycling Coalition has led the movement in New York State advocating for pro bike and pro walk policies and programs. We provide education, information, and encouragement for safe, active transportation for commuting, recreation, health and the environment. Our goal is to get every New Yorker – one out of two at least once per week by 2020! – who wants to get on a bike, for whatever reason, to be able to do so, safely and as part of a multi-modal road and trail system throughout the great state of New York.
