About Us
Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning or SAEL uses project-based, interdisciplinary, college preparatory academics. It is a public charter high school in Nevada City, California affiliated with the nationally recognized school transformation organization Expeditionary Learning. SAEL opened its doors in August of 2014 to serve gades 9-12. The mission of Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning is to inspire students to achieve high standards, create quality work, develop quality character, and embrace lifelong learning and service through Expeditionary Learning.
