American India Foundation - Bay Area Young Professionals

The American India Foundation Bay Area Young Professionals Chapter (AIFBAYP) is a branch of The American India Foundation (AIF) dedicated to providing young professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area the opportunity to drive social and economic development in India. The chapter is directly tied to AIF and supports its mission and goals. Please click here to learn more about AIF, the parent organization.

The chapter was founded in 2008 by a small group of volunteers and has since expanded to included 16 committee members that meet on a regular basis to plan events that involve the broader community. We hope to build a strong community of professionals that interact and exchange ideas for a common cause.

Each year the chapter selects a certain AIF project or initiative to support from a fundraising aspect and all proceeds from events are directed to that cause. Events are organized on regular basis and are focused on driving awareness of AIF, fundraising for NGOs & AIF's initiatives, and networking with AIF senior leadership & other young professionals. Examples of types of events include social mixers, cultural celebrations, speaker panels, and banquets.
