  • About Us

The Washington Appellate Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality representation to individuals appealing criminal convictions, civil commitments, dependencies, and terminations of parental rights. Our mission is to protect the constitutional rights of all citizens, regardless of economic status. Founded in 1993, the Washington Appellate Project has made impactful changes in the law, court rules, and in appellate public defense. Our office provides training, education and guidance in the community.

We are a group of attorneys and paralegals committed to a common goal of ensuring that all people are treated fairly and equitably in our justice system.
