    Lead, SD - Built in 1914 with the finest materials available, the Homestake Opera House was nicknamed "The Jewel of the Black Hills" for its grandeur and intricate plasterwork - it survived a fire in 1984 and restoration has been underway ever since.

    The Society's mission is to return the Historic Homestake Opera House to productive use for the enrichment of the community.
