  • About Us

The Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center (LaFHAC) is a private, non-profit civil rights organization established in the summer of 1995 to eradicate housing discrimination throughout the greater New Orleans area. Through education, investigation, and enforcement activities, LaFHAC promotes fair competition throughout the housing marketplace -- rental, sales, lending, and insurance. LaFHAC is dedicated to fighting housing discrimination because it is an illegal and divisive force that perpetuates segregation and poverty, and limits access to opportunity
