  • About Us

The Asiyah Women's Center was founded by members of Muslims Giving Back in our community in order to address a gap in appropriate residential services for Muslim survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. While our focus is on the Muslim community, all are welcome. As a registered non-profit, Pillars of Peace is in the final stages of receiving 501(c)3 status.

Our emergency transitional home, is called the ‘Asiyah Women's home’. Our mission is to provide temporary housing for victims of domestic violence and women facing eviction, and/or homelessness. By connecting under resourced women in our community to job opportunities, a range of mental health and medical services, permanent housing facilities, health insurance and legal assistance, we hope to empower women to get back on their feet and overcome their deeply traumatic personal circumstances.
