Cascadia Wild is a Portland-based nonprofit dedicated to connecting local people with the natural world.
Cascadia Wild runs a volunteer-based, community science wildlife survey project on Mt Hood, called the Wolverine Tracking Project, in which trained volunteers help survey for wolverine and other rare carnivores. Participants learn animal tracking skills while helping contribute to an increased understanding of the wildlife on Mt Hood.
We also offer classes and programs in animal tracking, botany and foraging, wilderness survival, naturalist skills, and more. We combine modern ecology with the ancient practices of living with nature, to help people develop healthier relationships with the natural environment and with their community. We offer custom classes for your school group or event.
