Rural Education and Development Centre (REDCE)

Rural Education and Development Centre (REDCE) is a non-profit,Developmental Organisation , promoted by committed social workers and priests in 1987, with a view to uplift of the rural poor , landless peasants, women , children,aged, youth and the disabled. It has been udertaking the following developmental progrmmes since it inception in 1987 in the 47 panchayat villages of Bhuvanagiri panchayat union of cuddalore District. They are: -Motivation & Awareness Building among rural poor women -Formation of women SHGS (SELF HELP GROUPS) -Credit linkages with the nearest banks -Vocational training for self employment such as Tailoring, Typewriting & Computer Training. -Pre-school child care centers. -Health education & Awareness -Formation of grass root level federations -Water & Sanitation programme -Environment & Ecology awareness -Inter NGO’S network collaboration in Developmental programme -Inter village school competitions -Celebration of National days & festivals -Conducting health camps . Co-operation and collabration with state and central Goverments in the implementation of Welfare schemes meant for poor, etc.
