Abode of the Message
About Us
The Abode of the Message (“the Abode”) is an Eco-Sufi Village that offers all Sufis and seekers a sanctuary for spiritual exploration and community, in harmony with nature, built upon the teachings and practices of universal Sufism, particularly the Inayati lineage.
Regular classes, events and group practices are held on the campus, be it the historic Shaker Main Campus or the Mountain Camp. With 350 acres of rolling Berkshire hills, the Abode Farm CSA produces much of the Abode Kitchen's local, sustainable, vegetarian menu.
Residential volunteer opportunities are available March through November in all areas of the Abode - farm, kitchen, housekeeping, guest services, programs, mountain, grounds, and more. Village Visits, immersive weekend experiences, give a glimpse into life at the Abode and are required for anyone wanting to live at the Abode.
The Abode is Spiritual in Nature, Universal in Message, and Elemental in Practice.
