    Historic Uptown Lexington is located at the heart of Lexington, the Davidson County seat! We’re home to more than 190 retail, service and professional businesses and community resources; host to the community’s largest public events and festivals; and recognized as the place where economic and tourism growth begins for the greater Lexington area.

    The Uptown district boasts one of three National Register Historic Districts. Plans are in place to renovate Lexington’s oldest and most unique properties, one-by-one for mixed-use development that encourages upper-story residential and office uses, with street level retail and restaurants. We’re an Uptown Center, Lexington’s neighborhood for everyone; where diverse individuals in our community come together for a multitude of reasons: to live, work, and play.
