MAE is an association of members composed of Mississippi elementary and secondary teachers, higher education faculty and staff, educational support professionals, retired educators and college students preparing to become teachers.
MAE is the oldest and most powerful education association in the state.
Our fundamental objective is to work for improved salaries, benefits, and working conditions for all education professionals, as well as for the betterment of the Mississippi public education system.

Mississippi Association of Educators advocates great public schools for every child by empowering members, providing services, and promoting parental/community involvement.

We imagine a future in which all of our students graduate from high school prepared to succeed in college or in their career.
