  • About Us

The Lands Council is a nonprofit dedicated to the transition of the Greater Columbia River Ecosystem from resource exploitation to long term community and biological sustainability. We are a leading, activist-based forest and water conservation group in the Inland Pacific Northwest.

Program highlights include ending commercial logging of National Forests, breaking the timber corporations' hold on our forest lands and political processes, restoring watersheds ravaged by mining pollution, protecting our aquifer, and protecting the Selkirk Mountains, home to endangered native species such as caribou, grizzly, gray wolf, lynx and bull trout.
