    Description

    The Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts (CLCM) seeks a dedicated and creative self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills to join our team as Program Associate. This role is vital to the organization in supporting key program functions including intake, community collaborations and diverse stakeholder communications. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of supportive, creative colleagues focused on providing life-changing legal representation for the most vulnerable children primarily in northeast MA and greater Boston.

    The Position: The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with people including from diverse cultures and backgrounds, is empathetic, detail-oriented, and who is a problem solver with a sense of humor and a strong commitment to the organization’s mission. The PA role main focus areas include: 1) maintain an excellent and efficient system for answering requests for assistance: (e.g. manage workflow, complete data entry, document collection and initial screenings that are timely and accurate; maintain and update records in the organization’s database; ongoing evaluation toward improved results);  2) align outreach efforts: (e.g. maximize resources towards engaging clients who are most in need; work to establish collaborative community partnerships); and 3) contribute to communications for impact: (e.g. create and disseminate materials and content in diverse platforms; maintain the program’s online presence, including updating the website and managing social media accounts; draft and distribute regular updates to participants, partners, and stakeholders; assist in developing and refining messaging to ensure consistent and effective communication). The PA will also assist other team staff with general administrative duties as needed.

    Qualifications: Demonstrated experience, including lived experience, in project managing or organizing, with experience in a non-profit setting valued. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, have excellent attention to detail in all tasks, strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently. Commitment to serving low-income children who may have experienced poverty, trauma or discrimination. Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish is highly valued. Possess desire and willingness to learn new skills and problem solve, facility with technology. Willingness to learn, be an independent thinker, be adaptable and unafraid of ambiguity.
