    Description

    The Manager of Individual Giving will support the identification, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of individual donors for Asia Society with a focus on assisting in efforts to retain current donors, attract new prospects, and upgrade current donors’ level of support. The Manager will assist in the management of the Patron and general Membership programs designed to drive growth among individual donors and create long-term positive relationships between donors and Asia Society.

    The Manager will be a key player in a dynamic Development department charged with ensuring the ongoing success of donor engagement to power Asia Society’s New York headquarters’ mission and programs. This position will report to the Executive Director of Individual Giving and will work closely with other Development team members.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Program Logistics and Support (40%)

    • Manage and oversee daily administrative tasks for individual donor engagement
    • Ensure accurate and timely responses to donor requests, and demonstrate excellent customer service in all exchanges
    • Work closely with the Development Operations Manager to ensure that donors receive accurate recognition and timely acknowledgements
    • Collaborate with the Communications, IT, and Program Departments as needed for projects
    • Support any needed updates to print and digital marketing collateral, such as brochures, one-pagers, calendars, donation forms, and webpages
    • Work with the Executive Director of Individual Giving and Development Operations Manager to track revenue goals

    Donor Stewardship (40%)

    • Support relationships with current donors and prospects via phone calls, personalized emails, and tailored print correspondence
    • Support donor digital and print communications, including creating cultivation communications; drafting solicitations; crafting email marketing outreach; and working on print and mail projects
    • Assist with planning and executing donor engagement events
    • Create timelines for donor outreach
    • Segment lists of lapsed donors, active donors, and prospective donors
    • Support strategy for creating a robust donor pipeline

    Knowledge Management (20%)

    • Work closely with the Development Operations Manager and Box Office Manager to ensure donor and gift information is accurate in Asia Society’s CRM database and box office software
    • Work with the Prospect Research Manager to organize research and analytics for future prospects
    • Support systems, resources, policies, and requirements for donor tracking

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • College degree and 5+ years of related work experience
    • Nonprofit fundraising experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong initiative, follow-through, and ability to work independently
    • Data-driven approach and excellent analytical skills
    • Proven ability to build strong relationships with donors and colleagues
    • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems – experience with Salesforce, ACME, and Marketing Cloud a plus
    • Comfortable in ambiguous situations
    • Other duties as assigned

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

    Salary Range: $70,000 - $74,000

    Compensation within this range is determined by skills, experience, and organizational equity.
