Description

• This is not a direct service position; this position does not interact with children but is a community collaboration position.

  • This position is open to candidates residing in any part of Texas.

• This position is full-time, with a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually.

• Candidates must have experience in early childhood education.

• This position will report to the Senior Director of Education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply project management expertise and organizational skills to ensure deliverables and timelines for the ECE team are met. This includes grant deliverables for CAR as well as deliverables associated with partner coalitions such as the PN-3 Collaborative.

• Organize and facilitate regular PN3 coalition meetings ensuring productive and inclusive participation and serving as a primary contact point for coalition members and stakeholders.

• Apply expertise on early childhood education policy and develop expertise on assigned elements.

• Contribute to the ECE Team’s communication and reporting efforts, including coordinating the collection and analysis of data with the research team; drafting external reports or briefs to inform and educate various audiences about Texas’ early childhood needs and potential policy solutions, and contributing to the development of grant applications and grant reporting.

• Support ECE activities, including supporting press conferences, Texas ECE Tours, legislative briefings and CAR events.

• Work collaboratively with other team members, internally and externally, to build upon CAR’s significant presence across the state.

• Cultivate relationships with key partners working in the early childhood policy space within Texas and in select states, and engage with partners to track the development, adoption, and implementation of early childhood policies.

• Communicate clearly, both verbally and through effective writing, with a variety of audiences in ways that are aligned with the organization’s mission.

• Provide subject matter expertise for internal staff and external partners regarding early childhood education topics and policies.

• Support the ECE team’s project management efforts to ensure that deliverables are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
