As a resident tutor, you will live onsite in a shared two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment adjacent to ABC House. As a mentor and advisor, you will play a pivotal role in our scholars’ lives, shaping their academic journey and preparing them for a successful future.

ABC New Canaan is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide transformative academic opportunities to talented young men of color. We support them in becoming well-rounded and confident leaders, preparing them for success in college and life.  Our program welcomes gifted scholars as freshmen into the vibrant New Canaan community. Here, they attend our nationally ranked high school, participate in all of the athletic, artistic, and volunteer activities that the high school and community have to offer and live together at the ABC house in town under the care of a supportive resident director. They become a part of a local host family, having a home away from home during their four years at ABC New Canaan and beyond. This is the inspiring and supportive environment you will be a part of as a Residential Tutor.

ABC New Canaan Scholars make academic success their primary goal, and our resident tutors play a critical role in helping them achieve this goal and fostering a positive learning environment.
