    Pillar Care Continuum is hiring an Event Coordinator!     REPORTS TO: Vice President of Development and Communications

    LOCATION: East Hanover, NJ

    HOURS: 9 am-5 pm Monday-Friday; occasional evenings and weekends

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinates development, organization, and operation of all events and other fundraising and public relations activities
    • Manages all aspects of the event planning process, including subcontractor vetting, management of design and printing of event materials, venue identification, and menu development while maintaining the event budget
    • Plays a key role in Volunteer Department special event planning and execution
    • Takes photographs at special events and for special projects and creates social media content that encourages engagement
    • Provides frontline customer service (in-person, online, over the phone) for donations, inquiries, and donor follow-up
    • Creates sponsor invoices and facilitates payments; tracks event registrations, ticket payments, etc.
    • Coordinates event schedule, and ensures resources for events are in place/on time
    • Coordinates volunteers and staff in support of the event
    • Prepares press releases and initiates event promotion through a variety of modalities
    • Creates and monitors peer-to-peer fundraising sites, troubleshoot with users when needed
    • Tracks restricted event donation expenditures
    • Communicates with internal staff and the community regarding Development projects
    • Creates event-based modes of volunteer appreciation
    • Performs other related tasks and special projects as required

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • College credits or degree preferred, experience with working with people with disabilities a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, familiarity with CRM database management tools preferred
    • Experience using a professional camera and editing software desired
    • Must have the ability to lift and carry event supplies
