    Description

    About GoodVision

Over 900 million people globally need glasses but cannot afford them or don’t have access to vision care. Children cannot learn, adults cannot work and care for their families, and individuals can’t participate fully in their communities. We want to change that.

GoodVision brings quality, affordable eye care services and jobs in the eye care industry to eleven of the poorest countries around the world. One pair of glasses, manufactured onsite for as little as $1, can lift an individual and their family out of poverty.

GoodVision USA is seeking a creative, proactive and well-organized Administrative Coordinator who wants to have a real and transformative impact on vulnerable communities across the globe to provide part-time (maximum 20 hours per week) support to GoodVision USA’s operations and fundraising. Reporting to the Executive director, this role will be closely involved in refining internal operations, supporting fundraising activities and campaigns, and sharing our compelling story with local and global audiences. Although the right candidate must be based in the US (preferably the Boston area) GoodVision is a virtual organization where staff work from home.

    • Ensure donations are received, processed, and acknowledged in a timely manner.
    • Support the Executive Director in the development and execution of fundraising plans as well as managing relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, and foundations.
    • Maintain a strong presence on the organization’s Social Media accounts to maximize stakeholder engagement and grow the GoodVision community.
    • Support the coordination, production and dissemination of strategic organizational materials including brochures, newsletters, and the annual report.
    • Support the Board of Directors as needed.
    • Stay updated on trends and best practices in fundraising, philanthropy, and donor engagement.
    • Provide other administrative duties as needed.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with donors and other stakeholders
    • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook)
    • Proficient with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
