    Position Summary:

    The Executive Director (ED) will lead Orphans In Need USA, responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of the organization. The ED will work closely with the Board of Directors to shape the future direction of the organization, leading on fundraising, marketing, and organizational growth. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for Development work, strong relationship management skills, and a proven track record in non-profit leadership.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Strategic Vision:

    • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan.
    • Provide visionary leadership to the organization, setting and achieving short- and long-term goals.
    • Lead the development of new programs and initiatives in alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals

    Fundraising and Resource Development:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including donor cultivation, digital marketing and partnership development.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key donors, funders, and strategic partners.
    • Enhance the organization’s presence in key donor areas, expanding its reach and influence.
    • Further the organization’s digital footprint through online fundraising campaigns, social media engagement, and digital marketing strategies.
    • Oversee marketing and public relations efforts to increase the organization's visibility and donor engagement.

    Operational Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of programs and services.
    • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting in collaboration with the finance team.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and funding requirements.

    Board and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Act as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization, facilitating effective communication and decision-making.
    • Provide regular updates to the Board on the organization’s progress, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Engage with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, community leaders, and international partners.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the organization’s staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Implement effective performance management systems, including goal setting, evaluation, and professional development.

    Partnership and Relationship Management:

    • Manage relationships with strategic implementing partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with partners, vendors, and service providers.
    • Represent the organization at national and international forums, conferences, and events.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a non-profit organization, preferably in fundraising and marketing.
    • Strong track record in fundraising, donor relations, and resource development.
    • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
    • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Experience working with or in support of orphans, widows, or vulnerable populations is highly desirable.
    • A Master’s degree in Non-profit Management, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field is preferred.
