    Description

    Purpose of Position:

    To support fundraising efforts with various initiatives including four dynamic special events throughout the year. Manage Development's social media content by producing multi-platform creative monthly campaigns. Ensure smooth and efficient day to day department functions.

    Areas of Responsibility:

    • Supports annual Spring and Fall Benefit, including but not limited to,
      • coordinating event logistics,
      • serving as a captain at event registration,
      • securing and tracking in-kind donations for silent auctions
      • training auction staff,
      • managing the checkout and gift retrieval process.
    • Creates the Development Department’s social media content including:
      • presenting campaign ideas to the Director of Development,
      • creating the visual content (posts, stories, reels and copy) for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, staying up to date on social media trends and
      • presenting performance statistics at weekly department meetings
    • Assists the Development Director with recruiting, onboarding and stewarding of Leadership Council members
    • Coordinates the Leadership Council’s two annual fundraising events
    • Processes Development donations in the Raiser’s Edge database and generates tax acknowledgements
    • Prepares and deposits contributions and processing fee checks in accordance with The Eye-Bank’s business processes
    • Coordinates logistics for onsite events
    • Assists with the preparation of materials for seven annual Board meetings
    • Manages all front desk operations, including but not limited to,
      • answering/directing all phone calls,
      • greeting and directing visitors,
      • coordinating office deliveries and mail
      • distributing transit cards
      • reconciling the AMEX bill
    • Assists the Administration Manager with planning The Eye-Bank’s annual holiday party

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 2-3 years Previous event/conference planning required
    • Proficiency with Raisers Edge database or similar
