    Description

    NOSH Food Rescue NPC (NOSH) aims to reduce food insecurity by diverting, repurposing, and redistributing prepared and perishable surplus food that is still wholesome and nutritious. NOSH currently operates in and around Johannesburg.

    NOSH is seeking a volunteer to join our passionate team for 4 to 5 hours per week (pro bono), from the comfort of your home or from our office in Randburg/Gauteng/South Africa. You will collaborate closing with team members to post and engage our audience on social media. You’ll be the voice of the organisation across all social media channels playing a key role in shaping our social media.

    Key Performances Areas including but not limited to:

    • Content Creation – create, administer, and update social media accounts.
    • Ensuring messages are accurately and consistently expressed, with appropriate sign off
    • and placement.
    • Community Engagement – interacting with followers, sharing stories.
    • Advertising - Creating awareness of events. Timely posting of content. Creating a content calendar. Implement media activity across projects and events.
    • Content Curation- draft media material ensuring accuracy with appropriate sign off and placement thereof. 
    • Validate external content and material used by NOSH.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent
    • Experience in social media, and digital marketing disciplines an advantage
    • Up to date knowledge of latest digital, marketing, content and communication best practices, trends, techniques and technology, HubSpot and Google Workspace an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to connect with a diverse online audiences
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Creative flair
    • Must have own laptop / computer.
