Overview

The Lighthouse Church and Ministries seeks a dynamic, creative, and strategic Head of Production.  The successful candidate will lead production processes ensuring all media services and content delivery are executed in technical excellence, cost effective, and in accordance with high production standards, while aligning with the goals and objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

Production Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement production strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives, including production schedules, resource allocation, and capacity planning.

Budget and Cost Management: Create and manage a production budget that is cost-effective and efficient.  

Process Management: Oversee the entire production process, including collaborating with peers and key stakeholders to document new developments in operational processes, systems procedures, and team protocol.

Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the organization’s media services and content delivery – streaming, live broadcasts, and podcasts, demonstrates high production standards. Partner with technology to define, test and operationally implement automation processes.

Timeline Management: Monitor production schedules and timelines to ensure media services, content delivery, and content products are delivered on time and according to schedules.

Resource Management: Acquire, manage, and allocate resources (e.g., staff, equipment, materials, and facilities) to achieve production goals.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact production timelines, costs, or quality.  Develop contingency plans and strategies to mitigate risks to ensure smooth production operations.

Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage staff, provide guidance, support, development, feedback, and performance management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with departments and teams to ensure production maintains seamless workflows and communication.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in production technologies to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and enrich  capabilities.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that production processes adhere to relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Problem Solving: Proactively address issues that may surface during the production process.  Quickly identify solutions to minimize disruptions and delays. Investigate incidents and produce after-action reports.

Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with vendors, and partners involved in the production process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Production, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in media production, content creation, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of broadcast and streaming.  Podcast experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of current media trends, content formats, and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.     
  • Analytical ability to derive insights from data to inform strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
