About the organization: Realities For Children provides for the emergency and ongoing support needs of children in Northern Colorado who have been abused, neglected or are at-risk. One of the keys to our success as an organization is hiring good people. We are looking for a dynamic addition to our team to support the Business Membership side of the organization. 


The Membership Director is an intricate part of our development department and owns the membership program. Business Members help to ensure every service and program we provide for children that have survived abuse and neglect. The Membership Director works to increase our business membership through recruitment, vetting possible members, supporting our marketing efforts and events to engage members in our community and mission. The Membership Director is primarily a sales position, the right candidate will have a passion for our mission to serve at-risk children and an innate desire to build and maintain business relationships. 

All positions at RFC contribute directly to the children’s experience as well as the success and growth of the organization while supporting our culture of Servant Leadership, Excellence, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration. 

Responsibilities

Member recruitment:

  • Identify, research, and approach potential business members in the community
  • Vett potential members for mission alignment
  • Facilitate potential client meetings and presentations increasing our visibility in the community and ultimately signing businesses as annual members of Realities for Children.
  • Plan, set and reach achievable goals for new member recruitment each year. 
  • Manage the member recruitment process from 1st contact through signing of agreement, being the face of RFC to new members and non-members alike.
  • Process all membership related paperwork working with our accounting and marketing departments to ensure accuracy and implementation.
  • Work closely with our Marketing Director and Director of Events to ensure new members are included in all marketing fulfillment and invited to all events. 
  • Maintain all member documentation, sharing with departments as needed. Manage and create new member packages, renewal kits, etc.


Member engagement and retention: 

  • Conduct personal invitations to members who are less engaged to help maintain membership involvement
  • Engage with our social media team to support birthdays, anniversaries, etc. postings for our members, track our social media engagement with members to ensure coverage for all members in our network. 
  • Conduct personal touches with members for key moments like business anniversaries, condolences, birth announcements, etc. This includes, business stop-in’s to check on less engaged members and replace decals at their place of business. 
  • Conduct personal and RFC business with members of RFC whenever possible, and act as a referral partner for our members in networking meetings or whenever appropriate.
  • Participate and help facilitate monthly member events including bringing members materials to each meeting, welcoming new members, facilitating introductions and solidifying member relationships at every opportunity.
  • Conduct annual membership meetings to retain members and upgrade them to higher packages, facilitating renewal paperwork as needed. 
  • Assist our Marketing Director with marketing materials to ensure they are up to date through our presentation book, new member packets, member directory, awards and recognition acknowledgements. 
  • Manage, plan and execute our ambassador program.
  • Support all special events and programs of RFC as needed.

Requirements 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in community building, networking, and sales. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage scheduling and renewal timelines
  • Must demonstrate the capacity to interact with a diverse group of people.
  • Strong soft skills, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with community members.
  • Demonstrates a passion for the organization’s mission
  • Gives and welcomes feedback
  • Positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone’s efforts for success
  • Professional and mature demeanor with strong ethical standards and ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to work nights and weekends for events as needed
  • Experience in the consumer services industry preferred
  • Proficiency and microsoft office suite, relevant social media applications, ability to learn new electronic systems as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Hours: 20 hours/week

M-F with some nights and weekends as needed for special events.

Pay: base salary with commission structure.
