    Position Description

    ScholarMatch is seeking a full-time, non-exempt, union Information Systems (IS) Coordinator

    to play an important role in our non-profit. The IS Coordinator reports to the Associate Director

    of Information Systems to provide data analysis, impact evaluation, and technology

    infrastructure coordination. The IS Coordinator will work with the AD of Information Systems

    and the Director of HR on new initiatives and contribute to important organization-wide

    projects.

    This position will assist in overseeing aspects of data collection, research, and evaluation for the

    organization. In addition, the IS Coordinator will help implement and maintain the technology

    infrastructure and support the needs of all teams across ScholarMatch.

    This position is based in California but can work remotely, and is ideal for someone who wants

    to use their data and technology skills to help scale our organization and advance education

    equity and the mission of ScholarMatch. This role must be able to travel for work, work

    weekends, and extended or evening hours to support events as needed.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Data Management & Analysis

    ● Support in the collection of program and evaluation data to assess performance

    ● Develop and manage dashboards, reports, and workflows for monthly, quarterly, and

    annual analytical reports

    ● Systematize data protocols and procedures, and collaborate with multiple teams to

    perform data-related administrative tasks

    ● Maintain program data integrity and contribute to analysis where possible

    ● Conduct research for special data projects and initiatives

    ● Complete assigned data requests in a timely manner

    ● Attend collaborative meetings with other departments as needed

    IT Support

    ● Support all teams to customize, refine, and maintain our Airtable system (including

    web-based applications such as Zapier)

    ● Support in the maintenance of our Airtable system, including program data uploads

    ● Administer dashboards, program reports, forms, templates, bases, and workflows

    ● Collaborate with the AD of IS to develop solutions to ensure interoperability between

    Airtable and other applications

    ● Work with the AD of IS to prepare training and how-to guides for ScholarMatch

    information systems

    ● Support with presentation and creation of IT trainings for staff as needed and effectively

    convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, create training materials,

    and collaborate with various teams

    ● Support the organization's technology growth plan

    ● Process and store confidential data and information according to ScholarMatch

    guidelines

    ● Track and maintain hardware and software inventory

    ● Attend trainings and webinars to stay up to date on the latest developments in

    information systems, data management, and technology to continuously improve the

    organization’s practices

    ● Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned, “all hands on deck” mindset

    Requirements:

    ● Bachelor’s degree in STEM; math, computing, or data science preferred

    ● Two (2) years of experience in data analysis and information technology systems or

    related work experience

    ● Experience in managing data, performing analysis, and supporting IT systems in a

    professional setting

    ● Superior analytical and organizational skills, i.e. able to manage large data sets, draw

    insights, and organize information effectively for various stakeholders

    ● Ability to exercise confidentiality of information and professional boundaries

    ● Understanding or experience of the project management process

    ● Advanced competency in Excel and databases, e.g. creating complex formulas, pivot

    tables, and data visualizations to support data analysis and reporting needs

    ● Able to learn quickly and adapt to new tools that streamline and automate workflows

    ● Proficient understanding of database design and coding to ensure efficient data storage

    and retrieval, with an emphasis on maintaining data integrity

    ● Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data management, analysis, and

    reporting

    ● Able to be flexible with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting tight deadlines

    ● Able to identify issues and develop technology-driven solutions to improve processes

    and outcomes

    ● Strong written and verbal communication skills

    ● Knowledge and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of the students and

    communities served by ScholarMatch

    ● Working knowledge of recent and emerging software applications to streamline and

    automate workflows

    ● Must be able to perform all functions of this position within what would be deemed to be

    reasonable accommodations

    ● Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities throughout the

    organization

    ● Must be comfortable working in an anti-racist organization with a diverse group of

    external callers and visitors and internal staff at all levels

    Preferred but not required:

    ● Experience with Airtable, i.e. experience in customizing Airtable bases, building and

    refining formulas, automating workflows, and integrating with other applications

    ● Experience with G Suite

    ● Experience with Basecamp

    ● Comfortability with Mac operating systems

    Compensation and Benefits

    ScholarMatch practices a transparent, negotiation-free salary process. Starting salary is

    commensurate with years of experience, regional location, and is based on a competitive public

    interest salary scale.

    The salary range for this position is:

    ● San Francisco Bay Area: $72,030 - $84,819

    ● Greater Los Angeles Area: $61,226 - $72,096
