    Description

    The Project on Predatory Student Lending’s Intake and Engagement Associate unites PPSL’s litigation and advocacy program with the client community and external stakeholders.

    This flexible position can be between 25 to 40 hours per week, and the location is fully remote, allowing the successful candidate to work from anywhere within the United States. The role is expected to continue through June 2025, with the opportunity for extension.

    Essential Functions:

    • Support PPSL’s litigation and client relationships

    o Maintain PPSL’s records of client communications including mail, email, voicemail, and survey responses

    o Work with PPSL’s attorneys to conduct outreach to identify, connect, and build relationships with potential plaintiffs

    o Support outgoing client communication through mass and individual email responses, blog posts, social media and website updates

    o Escalate individual client issues and questions to legal team

    • Support Advocacy and Policy program

    o Help coordinate advocacy and education outreach efforts toward policymakers, members of Congress, and congressional staff

    o Support tracking and analysis of advocacy data and goals

    o Assist with tracking proposed pieces of legislation and Congressional action

    • Manage PPSL’s data

    o Run tailored reports in Salesforce and other platforms

    o Work with PPSL’s litigation and policy teams to anticipate information for data reporting

    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • High School degree required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Experience in legal support, policy, advocacy, data management, administrative, and/or client facing roles.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong grasp of Microsoft Excel.
    • Highly organized and responsive.
    • Willingness to learn and develop skills that will enhance contributions to the team, including new technologies. Experience with Salesforce and/or CRMs preferred.
    • Exceptional listening skills and a strong ability to convey complex information orally and in writing.
    • Committed to and passionate about the Project’s mission and working with underserved and marginalized communities.
    • Enjoy working on multiple different projects and perform well under deadlines.
