    Description

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    ● Qualifications

    o The Meeting House (TMH) seeks a vibrant and engaging individual who is a nurturing leader and relationship builder for children and staff as well as for the TMH intern team. Essential to our development model, this role has a greater understanding of SEL and child developmental needs, and can interact socially-emotionally to provide informed and beneficial guidance. This leader has the ability to combine professionalism, creativity, enthusiasm and a playful loving spirit - which is the nature of our hybrid model, and inspires fun, belonging, friendship and community.

    ● Experience

    o Professional training and expertise in child developmental, school psychology, social work, special education and/or general education required

    o 5 plus years experience working with elementary aged students

    o Teaching experience with groups

    o Area of expertise and continued interest in social and emotional learning frameworks

    Responsibilities: To supervise, mentor and manage The Meeting House LevelUpSEL Program

    Program Administration, Supervision and Management

    o Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff at partnership school and TMH to execute The Meeting House mission

    ▪ Act as a liaison between partnership school and TMH

    ▪ Lead program, supervise & mentor interns

    ● Delegate as needed to interns

    o Maintain intern attendance for continuity and payroll

    o Track snacks, supplies, expenses on site and bring items as needed to TMALS

    o Implement outcome tracking to capture outcome data - anecdotal and survey models

    Assessment and Interpretation

    o Assess the learning and developmental needs of participants and TMH interns

    o Provide appropriate and relevant interventions to maximize learning across the SEL spectrum - as a way to improve upon and optimize social skills, well-being

    Logistics:

    September 13, 2023 - May 23, 2024

    Reports to Executive Director

    6-12 hours /week all inclusive of program and planning time - On site two days a week TBD at a Harlem public school 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
