    Description

    ideas42 is seeking a mission-aligned team member to join our Financial Health focus area as an Associate Behavioral Designer. We envision a world where products, services, and programs are informed by behavioral science and designed to meet the financial needs of people of all socio-economic classes, ages, races, abilities, and genders so they can have a financially secure present and a self-determined future. You will have an opportunity to do work that drives financial health for people living on low- to moderate- incomes by working on creating or refining products, institutional processes and systems change. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Leading project research, such as literature reviews, surveys, and interviews.
    • Assisting with management of field projects, including drafting and revising high-quality deliverables (presentations, briefs, research papers) and ongoing communication with funders and partners.
    • Contributing to grant proposals, policy papers or other research.
    • Analyzing qualitative research findings, and quantitative data from randomized controlled trials (RCTs).

    Qualifications 

    Minimum qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
    • Mission-aligned, self-starter, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong analytical skills and basic knowledge of statistics.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to high-quality output.
    • Available and willing to travel on a flexible schedule as needed (typically less than 25%).
    • Record of academic excellence.
    • Smart, logical and structured thinkers, who are also creative.
    • Commitment to promoting social good.

    Preferred qualifications 

    • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
    • Experience in financial services or a financial health environment.
    • Experience with Stata and/or R.

    Application Process Overview

    The ideas42 application process has four stages:

    • Application: Submit your application and resume.
    • Case Study: Selected candidates will receive a short assignment, to be completed over approx. 1 week.
    • First Round Interview: Selected candidates will be invited to interview with an ideas42 program team member.
    • Final Round Interview: Selected candidates will be invited to interview with an ideas42 senior team member. References will also be requested and contacted during this time.
