    About Us:

    The Pantry, by Feeding Hawaii Together, is Hawaii's only e-commerce pantry providing fresh, nutritional food to families across Oahu. We offer a grocery store experience for clients to choose what they need, when they need it, and recently expanded to include essential products like face masks, baby diapers, and cleaning supplies.

    Role Summary:

    The Program Manager will play a critical role in leading and managing The Pantry’s efforts to combat food insecurity. Responsible for overseeing all programs, this role ensures efficient operation and effectiveness in meeting community needs. The Program Manager will strategically plan and implement initiatives to maximize impact, manage staff, volunteers, and resources, and serve as the strategic and operational thought leader. The role involves building partnerships with local organizations to source food, volunteers, advocates, and donors and reports directly to FHT’s Executive Director.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. E-Commerce Management:
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of the online ordering platform.
    • Optimize user experience for clients accessing food assistance digitally.
    • Implement data-driven strategies to improve online operations and client satisfaction.
    1. Warehouse Operations:
    • Manage safety programs and large-scale warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies while maintaining quality standards.
    • Implement efficient systems for receiving, storing, and distributing food items.
    1. Client Services:
    • Develop strategies to effectively serve thousands of clients through the e-commerce platform.
    • Oversee client support systems, including technical team and troubleshooting services.
    • Analyze client data to improve service delivery and identify emerging needs.
    1. Team Leadership:
    • Manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers across e-commerce, warehouse, and client service functions.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and compassion.
    • Manage all required reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Manage daily operations, food management, and safety compliance.
    1. Systems and Process Development:
    • Develop and implement robust, scalable operational processes across departments, focusing on standardization and efficiency.
    • Design and execute standardization mechanisms to streamline workflows, reduce variability, and create a foundation for process automation.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Experience in non-profit organizations, social services, or similar fields preferred.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and online inventory systems.
    • Ability to handle confidential information and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Capability to sit, type, and view a computer screen for extended periods.

    License/Certification:

    • Forklift and Pallet Jack Certification (preferred; training provided)
    • Food Handler certification (training provided)
