    Description

    L4GG is hiring a full-time Development Coordinator to provide administrative support for its fundraising function. The person who succeeds in this role will be detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to L4GG’s mission and programs. This individual will assist with gift administration, donor relations, database management, prospect research, and help the department reach their fundraising goals. This position reports to the VP, Development and Engagement.

    Specific Job Responsibilities include:

    • Work with Development Associate on day-to-day administration of L4GG’s development program.
    • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the organization’s general support email inbox.
    • Manage invoicing and gift administration related to both institutional and individual donors, including reconciling gifts in donor database.
    • Promote data hygiene by regularly auditing donor and fundraising databases, as well as internal L4GG filings in Google Drive, for accuracy, clarity, and searchability.
    • Ensure proper documentation and recognition of L4GG’s Pro Bono Partners, the law firms and companies that provide pro bono services towards and financial support of L4GG’s programs.
    • Support regular communications with donors by pulling reports and keeping donor records up to date.
    • Secure outstanding pledges from corporate and institutional partners.
    • Ensuring upkeep of standard grant attachments, i.e., organizational budgets, W9s, etc.
    • Assist in grant administration, including outcomes tracking, adhering to reporting requirements, filing amendments, and documenting contracts, change orders, and budget revisions.
    • Contribute to narrative drafting and copy editing for donor communications, grant narratives, standard reports, and stewardship updates led by Development Associate.
    • Provide logistical support to donor prospecting and new donor engagement projects, i.e. coordinating mailings, arranging meetings, etc.
    • At times, collaborate with communications team to support donor initiatives, including helping to pull analytics reports on grassroots fundraising efforts.
    • Providing administrative support to various fundraising and communication softwares and social media platforms.
    • Other duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a nonprofit development department required, with a strong preference for candidates with experience managing the administrative functions of a fundraising team.
    • Experience with donor databases, i.e., Kindful, Bloomerang, Salesforce, FundraiseUp, etc.

    • Access to a quiet workspace (home office or other space) with high-speed internet and the ability to take calls and/or video conferences during work hours
    • Exceptional technology comfort and competence including willingness to embrace new tools and self-train using provided resources as needed
    • Strong customer service orientation and experience partnering with colleagues virtually
    • Flexibility in adapting to the needs of a fast-paced national organization
    • Ability to comfortably navigate G-Suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Share Drives

    Desired qualifications include:

    • Previous remote work experience preferred
    • Experience on a wide range of development activities consistent with being on a small development team (less than 3-4 people total)
    • Experience with social media and email campaign analytics preferred
    • Professional and/or personal experience with L4GG’s programmatic issue areas
    • Experience with any or all of the following digital tools: GrantsHub, Instrumentl, Airtable, Asana, Slack, Groove, Zoom, Squarespace, Zapier, and Apple computers
