    Description

    Our client, a national association dedicated to advancing academic nursing, is seeking a Communications and Web Assistant. This organization is committed to establishing quality standards for nursing education, supporting schools in implementing those standards, and influencing the nursing profession to improve health care and promote public support for professional nursing education, research, and practice.

    The Communications and Web Assistant will provide high-level support as a key member of the communications team and will complete additional projects as needed.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Website Management

    • Perform a high volume of web edits while ensuring the website is ADA compliant.
    • Collaborate with the communications team and other departments to build and enhance web content for various initiatives.
    • Oversee the online Career Center, handle inquiries regarding advertising, prepare monthly emails to members, and coordinate all promotions.

    Publications, Exhibits, and Conference Events

    • Maintain an inventory of publications, including brochures, flyers, and reports, and assist with updates as needed.
    • Manage advertising for the organization’s Syllabus Newsletter.
    • Prepare exhibit materials for conferences and organizational meetings.
    • Assist in preparing for conference events and mailings as needed.

    Additional Duties

    • Provide administrative support to the Chief Communications Officer and the Director of Communications.
    • Handle general inquiries from faculty, students, and the public about the organization’s programs, financial aid, nursing education, and related topics.
    • Provide backup phone support as requested.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    An ideal candidate will have:

    • A Baccalaureate degree is preferred, though equivalent training and work experience may be considered.
    • At least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an association setting.
    • Experience in updating, editing, and maintaining web pages is required; experience with content accessibility testing and design software is highly desirable.
    • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and collaborative skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with familiarity with standard office equipment and practices.

    Salary: $50,000 - $53,000
