    The EEOC is the primary federal agency responsible for enforcing federal statutes that prohibit employment discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability and retaliation. The Commission enforces private sector statutes investigating allegations of employment discrimination and where discrimination is found, obtaining remedies.
