  • About Us

    The mission of the Division of Health for Unaccompanied Children (DHUC) in the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to ensure the health and safety of unaccompanied children in ORR care. ORR/DHUC oversees medical and public health services for children in ORR care, working with a network of ORR-funded programs; medical, dental, and mental health providers; and federal, state, and local public health officials. The Division, through the Communicable Disease Surveillance & Response Team conducts surveillance, manages guidance for and response to communicable diseases of public health importance, and reports public health information to the appropriate public health authorities.
